ESSENTIALS FOR CLINICIANS
Are you a clinician who wants to learn strategies for being an effective ally to diverse communities?
Are you interested in learning about the impact of trauma, and
microaggressions on LGBTQ+ patients?
Speaker: Sand Chang, PhD
This workshop on trauma and microaggressions in the LGBTQ+ community will provide participants with (knowledge on how to address microaggressions and experiences of trauma in LGBTQ+ individuals).
Dr. Sand Chang is a clinician in Oakland who is passionate about cultural humility and social justice issues. They are also the chair of the American Psychological Association Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity. Dr. Chang is also a specialist in working with transgender and gender non-conforming clients.
CPA is co-sponsoring with SCCPA. The California Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents.
Important Notice: Those who attend the workshop and complete the CPA evaluation form will receive 2.0 continuing education credits (approved by CPA). Please note that APA CE rules require that we only give credit to those who attend the entire workshop. Those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time or leaving before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credits.
Refunds for cancellations are available up to eight days before the date the program or class begins. Some programs may incur a refund processing fee ($25), at the discretion of the event organizer, and will be stipulated on the event page.
Non-refundable credit toward a future SCCPA program or class may be available if you give notice between seven and one day(s) before the date the program or class begins. Credit may be applied to any SCCPA program or class for one year following date of issue.
No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the first day of the program or class; if you do not show up; or if you leave an event early for any reason. No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
SCCPA reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If SCCPA cancels a program, you will receive a full refund.
