I have a variety of clinical experience including working with adults with, self-esteem and social anxiety issues as well issues in connecting well with others in life. I currently offer individual therapy, and two psychotherapy groups for adults who need to understand and learn how to interact better and become closer to others.Group therapy is a safe place to effectively change behavior patterns and increase connection with others. Other group members are caring and supportive and provide gentle but helpful feedback. They work with you as a nonjudgmental caring team. Group helps improve relationship skills through real-time practice and peer support.
I have studied and trained in group psychotherapy for and led therapy groups for over 20 years. I was personally trained Irvin Yalom, MD, considered to be by many to be the greatest group psychotherapist in the U.S. I have also taken many courses at the many group psychotherapy conferences I attend. I have also founded the Center for the Study of Group Psychotherapy to train group therapists. My approach is interpersonal emphasizing how group members can better connect and develop closeness and ease with others.
