"Resilience - biology of stress and the science of hope" will be shown. Research on Adverse Childhood Experiences will be discussed. Participants will learn about basic neurobiological mechanisms underlying trauma. The impact of domestic violence on childhood & adult development will be discussed; five research based resilience factors & associated evidence based treatments. The panel will present clinical implications for child custody evaluators and therapists.

Refunds for cancellations are available up to eight days before the date the program begins, minus a $25 processing fee. Non-refundable credit toward a future SCCPA program or class may be available if you give notice between seven and one day(s) before the date the program or class begins. Credit may be applied to any SCCPA program or class for one year following date of issue.
No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the first day of the program or class; if you do not show up; or if you leave an event early for any reason. No refund will be available if you attend a program and are dissatisfied with its presentation or content.
By registering for this event, you acknowledge that your photo may be taken while at a SCCPA event. If you do not want or allow your photo, image, or likeness to be used in SCCPA's marketing including social media, please notify the event organizer.
SCCPA reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If SCCPA cancels a program, you will receive a full refund.
CPA is co-sponsoring with SCCPA. The California Psychological Association is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. Important Notice: Those who attend the workshop and complete the CPA evaluation form will receive 4.0 continuing education credits. (approved) Please note that APA CE rules require that we give credit only to those who attend the entire workshop. Those arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time or leaving before the workshop is completed will not receive CE credits.
